Wet Chemistry
Interview / Songs
Last night must have been family night at the Mars Café, everybody up there seemed to have children with,
some with more then one.  I would say the age range in the café was between 0 and 65, so that was a lot of
fun.  The scene was much like it was one year ago when my guests were first on the show, Wet Chemistry
knows how to get the kids out!   It might have been due to the good songwriting and banjo/guitar
combination, or the fact that we have a lot of children now, probably all three.

I first met Will and Micah last October, for one of our first sessions recorded at the Sonic Factory Studio.
We were just getting our system of doing the show down, and they were just getting their system of being
Wet Chemistry down.  They have `been playing around the city since, but they’ve been spending most of
their time in the studio writing and recording their debut album.

Most of their live performances recently have come in the form of the Carl Weathers Collective; a group of
local musicians that play together taking turns with each others songs.  It’s really a great show.  Their first
performance was at the GDP Festival this year and it went so well, they’ve been doing it since.  The groups
include Deep Sleep Waltzing, Adam Robert Haug and Wet Chemistry; we get everything straightened out in
the interview…

All three of us brought in a bunch of albums, but by the end of the night we were starting to realize that
we may have made about the worst selections in the history of the show.  It wasn’t because of lack of
trying, or lack of good records, things just flowed together rather strangely.  Such as our Cybill Shepard
into Gene Pitney combination.  It wasn’t all-bad though, here is what we played…

Eric Clapton – Theres One in Every Crowd
Beacy Boys – Wild Honey
Mott the Hoople – Rock and Roll Queen
Cybill Shepard – To Cole Porter
CCR – Revival
Jewish Music
Neil Young – After the Gold Rush
Pierre Henry – Le Voyage
Gene Pitney – Big Sixteen
Queen – Night at the Opera
Flaming Lips – Bulliten
Transit – 7”
