The Dig Angees
Interview / Songs
For this session I came straight from the Iowa State Fair, so I was pretty full from the beef sundae and
fried Oreos.  I was feeling a little sluggish on my way to the studio, but my guests the Dig Angees would
have none of it.  They were ready to have some fun with their first ever acoustic show.

We broke a few of our standard rules with this show, well really one main one, and that is the bands
record stripped down or acoustic.  Due to some miscommunication, probably on my part, the band came to
the studio early to set up for some full on rock.  This was one of our louder sessions to date, and was a lot
of fun.  The interview was full of jokes, as the band is full of jokers; but we did get some actual info out of
them, download the interview to find out more…

I had three records that I was excited to play this week, all of them 45’s from Jack White’s Third Man
Records, including his new solo song.  Unfortunately we couldn’t find the 45 adaptor for the record player,
so we didn’t get to play any of them.  Brenton did bring in a few killer albums though, including a T-Rex
album that surprisingly has been on the show before.  Here is what we played…

William Elliott Whitmore – Hymns for the Hopeless
Rolling Stones – Sticky Fingers
Sufjan Stevens – Illinoise
Radio Moscow – Brain Cycles
TRex – Electric Warrior
Aeon Grey – 45”
PCC – 45”
Why Make Clocks – 45”
The National – Boxer
The Doors – Waiting For The Sun
