This was my daughter Lemmy’s first Scented Vinyl Session, I was pretty excited to have her up at Mars with me; she and my son were both dressed in custom Scented Vinyl t-shirts, it was great! Its always fun having kids up at the show, or even in the studio while we record. There was no shortage this week with Rocket Transfer, but there could have been plenty more as this week’s show featured 4 fathers.
Before the show, the only thing I knew about Rocket Transfer was that their name is printed in giant letters on an abandoned building downtown, which is where they rehearse. The band self released they’re debut ep last year, and are looking to get started on a full length. Rocket Transfer offers a mission statement that stands out amongst other Des Moines bands…
