The New Bodies
Interview / Songs
Halloween is my favorite time of the year, mostly due to the weather and pumpkins.  This Monday was a
prime example, 65 and sunny all day... I hope this weather sticks for the next couple of weeks.  It was
easy to be in a good mood while heading up to the studio for this week’s session; I knew the music and the
conversation would be great as there was a lot to catch up on, my guests were last on the show 2-1/2
years ago.

The New Bodies are anything but new to the Iowa music scene; all four guys have been playing together
since their high school days eight years ago.  Seeing the band live, you might recognize them as the former
Stuck With Arthur, but hearing them live is a whole new experience.  The band has spent the past two
years growing into something different all together.  We talk all about it during the interview…

I had a feeling these guys would bring in some great records, because I know they spend a good deal of
time at ZZZ Records.  Christopher is going to be on the show again next week for a Halloween special, so
he left most of the record choosing up to New Bodies singer/songwriter Adam Bartelt.  He brought in some
great ones…and a lot of Bruce Springsteen.  Just kidding, it’s always nice rocking out to the Boss.  Here is
what we played…

Bruce Springsteen – The River
Bruce Springsteen – Born To Run
Monsters of Folk – S/T
Mountain Goats – The Life of the World to Come
Bob Dylan – Basement Tapes
Bob Dylan – Self – Portrait
The Faces – Ooh La La
Paul McCartney – II
Nick Cave – Abattoir Blues
