Interview / Songs
There has been many brand new artists/bands on the show, some of which have formed specifically for a Scented Vinyl session.
I love our music community, as he’s been playing drums for The Envy Corps for quite sometime; but his solo project
Menlo is
very new.

I’ve wanted to have Scott on the show for quite sometime; he’s up there for a lot of them anyways, as he lives down the street.
So it was just a matter of getting the date right; in this case it was a last minute session on a Thursday night.  For only being his
second or third solo performance, he appeared very comfortable in the lead role, despite the fact the microphone kept shocking
his face.

Before the show, we recorded with Skyler at Sonic Factory.  It was his first ever experience recording a ukulele; which Scott
was also new to playing, he bought it in Hawaii a few months ago.   We talked all about the new music, the new Envy Corps
album and of course more during the interview.  Grab the two songs we recorded too, they turned out great and are among the
only Menlo songs you can hear for now.

The café was packed; it was a lot of fun.  Scott lived up to his word and brought in some killer albums.  Here is what we
played…

Andrew Bird – Nobel Beast
Broken Social Scene Presents Branden Canning
The Books – Lost and Safe
Flaming Lips – At War With The Mystics
Portishead – Self/Titled
Carole King – Tapestry
Nat King Cole – You’re my Everything
Album Leaf – In A Safe Place
