Josh Davis
About a year and a half ago we decided to start experimenting with doing Scented Vinyl at the Sonic
Factory Studios.  We decided to do a session with Josh Davis as our guinea pig, he was getting ready to
record an album there anyways and it was a ton of fun.  He played “You Ain’t Shit” which to my
knowledge hasn’t been played since, you can still grab it elsewhere on the site.  Since then we’ve
recoded dozens of songs and interviews while having a great time every Monday night.

Josh is always writing songs and has been experimenting with different ways of releasing them,
whether by album, EP, USB or online.  We decided to do a second session just for fun on the heels of
the 80/35 Festival, although we didn’t play records at Mars Café.  Jon Locker, Josh and myself decided
to keep it a little more casual by just hanging out at the studio for a couple of hours.

At some point we decided to record a brand new song and talk about the new music.  Josh Davis now
has a whole new band and is working on a new EP with Brandon Darner (The Envy Corps) out at the
Sound Farm Studios.  We talk all about how great that farm is, the new music, the new band and some
other stuff during the interview.
